Leeds United have dismissed reports linking stellar midfielder Fabian Delph with a £10m move to bitter rivals Manchester United as "speculation". The Red Devils are reportedly the latest top-flight club to throw their hat into the ring to sign the 19-year-old, also courted by the likes of Arsenal, Newcastle, Fulham and Sunderland.

Leeds are determined to keep hold of their prized asset, with boss Simon Grayson admitting that only a "ridiculous" offer would tempt them to part company with the talented schemer.

Sir Alex Ferguson - if reports are to be believed - could be set to tempt the club's resolve by putting together a £10m package - cash plus midfielders Darron Gibson and Roderigo Possebon - to land 19-year-old Delph.

Grayson said: "We are aware there is a lot of interest in the player. But as I said after the Stockport game, I don't have to sell him.

"We're not in the position where we have to sell players and unless it's an absolutely ridiculous offer for him, we won't even consider selling him."
