Yes, I would drop him
No, not worried yet.

There is no doubt he has gone off the boil and has lost his eye for goal - he
still works hard though and does win stuff in the air and pressurise defenders
etc.so is still a useful player for us. He will score quite a few more before
the end of the season IF he gets on the pitch

I would give Trundle and Beckford a go from the start and hope that their
extra skill and ability will make up for a lack of work rate (although to be
honest I do not agree with those who call Beckford lazy - in fact I really
cannot understand how any fan can have a go at Beckford. For me he has been the
one player in or team worth watching week after week.He takes players on, he
tries the unconventional and has scored some brilliant goals and unlike many
players who score good goals he also scores lots of them he is a "scorer of
good goals and a good goal scorer " to amend the Strachan quote about
Huckerby.I am amazed that no-one from a higher Division has come in for him -
yes there are flaws in his game but he has to be worth a try if only for his
extra pace - but their loss is our gain.

The other change from the starting line up I would make is bring in Snodgrass
for Johnson I think Snoddy is much more involved and has more to his game - on
Saturday they both had an assist - Johnson from a free kick in 90mins and
Snodgrass from open play in 3 mins on the pitch !!

Dave,

Good assessment. I take it from what you wrote that you would drop Becchio for
Tuesday ? He needs 3 goals from 20 games to beat Kandol ? Are you worried yet :)

Cheers, Rich
