I think it's more than goals that Beckford gives us. He has the one thing at
this level that scares the shit out of all opposition - blistering pace. His
runs drag defenders all over the place and before they know it they are
completely disorientated. This extra space gives the wingers more time and
space and also gives his strike partner time to control the ball and do
something with it and also at times find himself unmarked in the box.

I know the options are limited for Grayson up front at the moment but I think
his choice of Trundle and Becchio was a really bad one. He should have been
more creative with options to play Snodgrass up front. With Douglas suspended
and Hughes injured for Tuesday it will be interesting to see what he does. For
me that's 2 out of our 3 worse players not available so I think it will improve
the team.

I was interested to hear Andy Ritchie talking about Leeds on RL. He thought
that Douglas couldn't tackle and was just a hustle and bustle player, he said
that Becchio was just all effort, not a natural goal scorer and he couldn't see
where the goals would come from now with him and that Delph sometimes over
elaborates when a simple ball is required.
