I also have the manly N95 8Gb. It's been a bit like a parson's egg and after 18 months I'm just getting to grips with some of the quirky stuff you can get for it. This also happens as I near contract renewal and I need to grab a new toy. Any suggestions for a 3 customer???

I was going to ask a similar question later as I am sick of looking through arse licking phone reviews. I currently have a nice safe nokia N95, heavy and black a proper mans phone (8 gig one if you are a geek) and am in the process of looking for a new phone and have short listed it to Nokia N96, HTC Touch HD or iPhone. I quite like the user interface on the iphone as it seems like the one on my youngest's ipod touch but it doesn't have gps navigation on it (which can be quite useful) and the email client doesn't do Hotmail apart from through the browser, not sure if I would use it for music as my ipod has more storage and a better battery life. I am not keen on the case for the N96 as it seems a little girly but it will do the same things as my current phone. I have no idea about the HTC except that it runs a similar OS to my old ipaq (which hung at every opportunity). One thing that I have learnt about the iPhone is that it can't run more that one application at a time which to be honest seems a bit crap for a smartphone in this day and age. I suppose that there is an app that will combat this but that is not the point. I know that you said that you don't like the G1 but I have heard that there is supposed to be a 'G2' version coming out, it is going to be marketed as a HTC Magic by vodafone. New technology is a pain the arse, does anyone fancy a party line with yoghurt pots and string. My eldest son found a 9 year old Nokia 7110 (matrix style sliding cover) in a box in a garage and thinks it is the coolest phone ever!! Off on a tangent, I am looking at leasing a new car and would be interested in hearing from anyone who has a Cayenne, Audi Q7 or Merc ML320, usual stuff, servicing, cost of tyres, etc. Incidentally (and if anyone actually gives a toss) porsche do the best test drives, they invited myself and the current Mrs B for a day out at a skid pan with a range of cars from their range.
