This Saturdays game is a must win, or certainly a must not lose, game and we
will be without Delph.
The question is what should Grayson do ?
Prior to Frazer and then Hughes getting injured, Douglas was the preferred
choice in midfied and in interviews quite clearly sees himself as a midfielder,
so there must be a temptation to replace Delph with Douglas and move Kilkenny
or Howson to the left and bring back Frazer as right back.
Personally I hope Grayson resists this temptation and keeps the back 5 as it is
- Casper, Douglas, Naylor, Sodje \ Rui , Parker. Allows Kilkenny and Howson to
contiune to build a partnership in centre midfield with Snoddy out wide and
Becks and Becchio (fitness allowing, to continue up front).
The only question then would be whether to bring in Robinson from the start -
our most attacking midfielder - on the basis that Tranmere are likley to defend
for long periods and we need his creativity, or to bring in Hughes for his
extra mobility and protection for Parker.
Either way Grayson has a few decisions to make - including whether to risk
Beckford if he is not fully fit - for what is our most important game of the
season to date.
Lets just hope for a full house and a crowd that get behind the players and not
on the backs of the latest scapegoat.
We also need to hope that this giving away late goals and often losing points -
Bristol, Crewe, Orient and now Leicester is a blip and not a major habit!!
