Your argument doesn't stack up, I would strongly argue that the only way that you can win is to taste defeat as it highlights any potential weaknesses that can be eradicated through practice and persistence.

Drive and Passion is not only associated with those that win. Every team in the football league (PL, FL, etc) have a drive and passion to be the best that they can be, you can argue that the lower league clubs, (which we are, don't forget) aren't as good as Manure, Liverpool, etc, but you can't say that because they don't win week in week out that they have no drive or passion to better themselves, that would be extremely patronising to those footballers that work hard but never reach the dizzy heights of the premiership.

When you are a team like Leeds that is obviously playing to the best of their ability then a defeat to a team 2 divisions higher can not be viewed as a disaster, when you consider that it was cup game in a season where we NEED to gain automatic promotion the removal of another distraction and a physical drain on playing resources has be a good thing. Tuesday was a very good exercise in highlighting what Leeds need to do in order to compete in a higher league.

Yes & you?
What is the relevance?
If you think getting beaten is great then where is the passion & drive?
In the old days defeat was a disaster no matter what.
