Yes we lost. It isn't the end of the world, it is only the league cup.
Losing to MK Dons would be different.
We are indeed still in league 1, being top of league one is, in my eyes,
better than being bottom of the prem and losing every week to the likes of
bolton, wigan, sunderland, etc.
Papa Smurf is still the chairman, it could be worse. Who is to say that
anyone else would be better.

Yes it was. The original question was about honour in defeat - or
heroic
failure. I'm reminded of how excited we got when Frank Bruno managed
to
land
one on Mike Tyson. It's a momentary delusion. Liverpool turned up,
patted
us
on the head, play fought with us for a while before flooring us - and
we're
still too groggy and star struck to realise we lost.
