I was specifically saying rubbish to the no honour in ANY defeat, which is
complete tosh and, as I later expained, not taking the bigger picture in
to account.
2 years ago we got stuffed 3-0 by Portsmouth in the 3rd round
Last year we got all excited and then lost to Derby (2-1 I think, but it
should have been 3 or 4 if memory serves me right)
Both games we pretty much rolled over and the reality check that we were
an average 3rd div team kicked in.
This season, we've comfortably got to here and then given a team that
started with FIVE regular Premier players, and 3 regularly on the bench in
PL games (so this 'Reserve' team tag is actually bollocks) a damn good run
for their money and probably deserved something out of the game ... Honour
in defeat in my eyes.
"Play fought with us for a while before FLOORING us" ???? Utter tosh. Some
of the passing from us was definitely that of a decent Championship level
team, hope surely for what we are really aiming at this season? I'd hardly
call 1 goal and throwing on one of your best, international, players at
the end to help shore it up (As well as another PL regular) a flooring!
