Being a Grimsby lad, and talking to some of the Town fans.....they reckon they have sold about 800 tickets for tonight with another 500 plus going and paying on the gate.....said they want to out-sing Leeds live on the tele......told them I went to the Darlo game so shouldn't be too hard for them as we only had 8000 there and tonight will same (less with it being on tv ?). The team got slaughtered in the press after Sat....home loss to Bath in FA Cup.....many people saying this is worst Grimsby team ever....and temp manager is looking for a response....so may not be as easy as we think to start with. Sweeney saying he wants to show Leeds what they're missing.....said Macca and Grayson never gave him a chance. Ex Bradford striker up front....Barry Conlon...bald head....plus hoping to have a few new loanees signed in time to play.
