Rich Said "and Kilkenny's pass to Beckford and his finish were two of the best
executions you'll ever see. I hope Kilkenny keeps in the team. "

100% correct Rich - it really annoyed me on the BBC football league when the
commentator said "we know Leeds can play football but they can also play the
long ball game" and then showed the Becks goal - The pass from Kilkenny was as
good as anything Beckham or Hoddle ever did and yet had it been on e of them it
would have gone down as a superb 40yd pass not a 'long ball'

I agree with Kilkenny being in the starting XI it is fitting himin that is the
problem. He needs to replace Howson or Doyle but that weakens the centre in
defensive ways and we have only one real winger (BJ is injured now and Robinson
too unfit generally) in Snoddy and so if we add Kilkenny to midfield we lose a
lot of width - a difficult choice.

Finally having praised the defence I had a look at the stats for the attack -
Becks has 12 in 15 games but Becchio and Vokes have only got 3 between them in
their 15 (Grella with one in two has started the other games). So in one way 15
in 15 from the front pair is brilliant it is all falling on the shoulders of
one of them (Beckford) and any injury \ suspension \ loss of form \ transfer
out could seriously harm our chances !!
