My Spurs loving in laws are all very very very silent today after a week
of winding me up about how they were so much better than Manure and that
they would be looking for a 5 goal win. Being gracious as ever I
haven't asked them how they feel now. The Scum victory was sweet and
there's a warm feeling about this draw against Tottingham. Tuesday
night could be marvellous it could be crap I don't care. What I'm more
concerned about is Norwich and bleedin' Charlton. It wouldn't take much
to end up in the poxy play-offs again. But as my good friend the member
for Bradford Sunnyside says: Win Everything!
The current impetus could see us eat up the opposition in the
Championship, especially if the bearded wonder puts his hand in his
pocket for some useful additions to the squad over the summer. I've
just been watching the Championship season 91/92 and I could see a
similar atmosphere coming back to the club if things are concentrated on
the pitch and not in some room full of greedy twats in suits (FL, LUFC,
Accountants, Lawyers, HMRC take your pick).
My New years resolution is to think only football and ignore the rest,
I'm too old now to worry about anything else than the sort of
performances that take us back were we belong.
(How long will that one last I? hear you all asking)
