problem is that these trends cover decades not a few years and often take decades to reverse, ie ozone depletion. The last decade has been unusual, but possibly pecause of la Nina or more a reduction in water vapour. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/jan/29/water-vapour-climate-chang e Climate science is new and very very complex and we dont know the half of it yet.
