Iv'e been looking at some of the postings and as usual it flows and ebbs.
It's football, some moan because we are in the cup, some say we shouldn't
play the best team because we arn't going to win it. Some, like me, but not
many have stated this on list, want to play the best team every game and
achieve whatever we can. Some expect to win games because they are
not against fashionable clubs. That's potty, we are third division, get that
into your head. We are not a premier league club playing in the third division
We are not a championship league team either we are a third division club
trying to claw back. We are where we are because we have been the pits. We
are improving, no doubt about that but Nigel Grayson isn't a miracle worker.
To put things into perspective, to judge how good we are. We have played 4
games against premier league teams, if these had been league games we
would have got 4 points from a possible 12. It's because we are third division.
We only had the one win and we all went crackers, rightly so it was against
Man Utd. What I'm trying to say is, football isn't predictable, if it was there
wouldn't be any football pools or bookies. In my opinion, on the whole, this
season so far has been magic. We won the first 8 games conceding only 4 goals.
We played 12 league games before we were beaten in the unlucy 13th. We
have never been lower than second place and been leaders for a longish period
to boot.
So far we have played a massive total of 41 games. That's a hell of a lot of
games considering it's only early February. From the 41 games, we have won
26 times, we have drawn 9 times and lost only 6 times. Considering two of
those losses were against Premier league clubs, to me that's magic.
We have had a glorious run in the cup, beating of all teams, the one team
you want to beat in the whole world, Manchester United. And some of
you are still ***king moaning. Moaning about fitness, moaning about the
players who have produced these great results, moaning about a player
who wants to better himself and if it wasn't for him we wouldn't be in this
fantastic position. I said in my posting yesterday we are at the elm of the
good ship Div 3. We can win it without the help from no other team, we are
the only team that can boast this position. Our three defeats were against
Milwall, Exeter and Swindon it's lucky for Manchester United they didn''t
have to face any of those three.(;-o)

PS I don't seem to remember anyone moaning about wasting our best
players agains Manchester United.
