How nuts is it to believe that the order in which I put on my socks on a Saturday has any bearing on our result? Me and tens of thousands of other who ridiculously think the universe is so centred round us that our slightest tempting of the fates has more impact than the efforts of the 11 on the pitch and the team at work on the training pitch and in the boot room. I also think,(as a fully subscribed Popperian) it is as crackers believe that because in the past Leeds have flattered to deceive and failed to deliver so often in the final straight, that there is any reason that this current group should follow suit and that it is in any way ordained that Leeds can't do playoffs or Wembley or final hurdles.... unless the current group are so suggestible as to believe such hype until it becomes self prophesying or indeed that gypsy did put an unexorcised curse on us. Of course every season 22 teams miss out on automatic promotion, and 75% of playoff qualifiers' hopes are dashed, 50% of wembley attenders are 'let down'. It is the lot of the football supporter to be more often disappointed than celebratory. I think hope and trust that we have a good chance still of second places, BUT if we do get in the playoofs, for goodness sake, show some balls and believe that we have as good a chance as anyone else...and with our support, should even have the edge. COME ON LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS!!
