A *large* number of morons booed him on Saturday. We all know Beckford's failings - he doesn't chase down enough, he doesn't challenge for headers, he can go missing - this is why he plays in league one and not the Championship or the Premiership.
He needs service, and the midfield haven't given him any. They need to accept their share of the blame for the lack of goals from Beckford. Having said that, if the midfield aren't capable of creating chances without the support of Becchio, then you have to drop Beckford. I wonder how much of the dip in form is simply down to the midfield players not liking playing alongside Beckford more than anything else? Anyway, he'll be off to another league one outfit, or championship one next season, and you can guarantee he'll put some past us home and away, with the right service. Ho hum, such is football.
