   pluses
    - get to vote
    - don't get treated like shit if bad things happen
    - easy travel back and forth with 2+ passports
   minuses
*(1)  - will have to pay US taxes in perpetuity no matter where you live
*(2)    - costs about $500 to get it done


(1) er.... No you don't - if (for instance) you decide to take up your right
to move back to the UK and will be earning less than $80K per annum then you
would only pay tax to HMRC at the correct legal rate here as there is an
agreement between the 2 governments to cover the scenario of a British
national living and working in the US and vice versa - you would still have
to *FILE* a tax return to the IRS each year even if it is with nil payment.

(2) A bloody sight cheaper than it is to apply for citizenship to this
country I can tell you.
