Wasn't going to get involved in this thread as I'm not particularly political but I'm traditionally a new labour voter and will probably go that way again but I live in a safe labour seat (Greenwich) but my MP is an idiot and I want rid of him but not Cameron or clegg in. The confusion between party politics and local issues annoys me too!
I think in a democracy PR would be fairer because and in contrast to my last statement if we have 5% of the population who are committed BNP voters then that's the way it should be under our system. I just want a decent competent figurehead running the country with a crack team of experts assisting him and I don't believe our voting system allows that to happen. Who those experts are and what they believe should be a matter for informed competent people to decide (not me), be they left right or in the centre! -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tim Leslie Sent: 30 April 2010 12:20 To: 'list leedslist' Subject: Re: [LU] got to share this with someone..; You seem to think a PR system will mean we end up in the hands of the meeja and right wing, _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
