And for all of those not able to work from home, the Holland - Denmark game
was a bit tedious. Both teams were equally crap in the first half with
Holland being less crap in the second half. On the plus side the grass looks
nice and green.
The vuvuzelas need to be louder as I could still hear the shite commentary.

Ladies & Gents,
Why is there such surprise at England's sh1t performance the other night?
The last time England had a decent championship was 1990. Then again even
in 1990, one should not forget the dirge, the sheer TEDIUM that was
England vs Republic, Egypt, Holland in the group stages, then robbing the
Belgians in the last min, outplayed by Cameroon but winning due to their
desperate tackling and giving away two penalties...
Anyhow, enough on 1990, fast forward to 2010:
- WHY is Heskey in the squad? Crouch is FAR better and is
actually half decent (remember the TWO amazing bicycle kick goals for
Liverpool a few years back?)
- Ledley King is more injury prone than even Bryan Robson was.
- and STILL LAMPARD AND GERRARD play at the same time in
midfield. This my English amigos is your problem - one of them has to go.
- After my laughing abated, I felt sorry for Green but I'd have
picked him too as the 1st choice. Calamity James? No chance.
BTW, impossible for the vast majority but you really must watch RTE's half
time analysis with Johnny Giles, Eamon Dunphy especially and even Graeme
Souness is very good. The savaging Eamon Dunphy gave the English
performance should have been pay per view.
Being Irish, you may rightly accuse me of in-built bias but England win
the World Cup I'll be more shocked than when Greece won Euro 2004.
However, should hell freeze over and England play France, I'll be cheering
with the English. Fortunately(?) they would meet somewhere before or at
the semi-final stage...
Overall, a quite tame tournament so far - not like 4 years ago, which was
probably the best tournament I can remember. So far Argentina game was
quite good, and hugely impressed with Germany last night.

It was nauseating. I thought Heseky did the basics ok but how many times

I think my comment to Mrs Rev was "if he could get his fat ar*e onside a
bit more
often he might be worth continuing with". He did OK holding it up etc,
but his
chance with the one on one summed him up!
As for scapegoat no 2 - come on down Sean Wright Phillips - what's he got
against
controlling the ball! Strictly schoolboy!
Scapegoat 3 - the midfield - did we have one. Rooney completely isolated.
The positives - Slovenia and Algeria are both pants. So, can our dazzling
forward
line get maybe 6 or seven in total to make sure the Yanks don't win the
group?
One thing is for sure, Heskey wouldn't score in a brothel with a £20 note
round his
john thomas!
Vuvuzela - how did someone first come up with the idea that this was a
good idea.
At least on the kazoo you can play a f***ing tune!!
Give me strength!!!
