On Sunday 19 September the Friends of Merri Creek will be having a tree
planting at Campbellfield starting at 10.00am Hatty Court.
Melbourne Water has funded the restoration planting of some Redgums which
are required to be planted close to the water, so it is proposed to plant
the Redgums during a mini tour of the forge. Morning tea and BBQ will be
supplied by Merri Creek management Committee.
The Merri Creek runs through the northern suburbs of Melbourne joining the
Yarra River at Collingwood. The Friends of Merri Creek is a group of
volunteers who work to restore and preserve the natural beauty of this area.
