Hi Denis,

I too would like to see pictures of how it was done but from what I recall
from seeing the videos there is a bracket that holds the motor off the end.
My guess is legacy machined a small hub to mount to the stepper motor and
bolted on a laser cut gear to match the 88 tooth main gear.

The size of motor should be sized to the work intended.  Too small and you
will loose steps.  Too big and they tend to be slower.  I would suggest nema
34 motors at around 640oz as a starting point.  Maybe Art could comment on
this since he has built two version of a cnc.  Check out his Web site for
