Ok, you might not meant it as funny, but now pulling down is included in the
vote. Why not :-).

  How about the underside?
I don't mean to sound funny, but a pull down lock on the underside might work
out well on the Legacy since it is suspended between the two rails.

      Tim,

I would vote, but since I sold my table, I guess I shouldn't. Yet, this
is the kind of innovation I've been talking about.

Maybe if you could see it mounted on a revo there maybe a good spot
for everybody. On the same end I drive it from would be best I think,I have am

opposite the crank is best for me because of my rotary table being
off a revo and is narrower than yours. as for winding and striping gears

the simplest answer I guess is be careful

There is no list at the moment. I need to work out some details on
the standard rotary table before I decide to sell this baby. I'll keep the
group informed with my progress.

One bit of input I would like from those interested in a locking
system is which side do you want the lock handle to exit from. My first choice
is the side opposite the crank handle, but I'm also thinking the front would be
good as well.

table is a way to index the table in a reliable and repeatable manner. I've
been modifying my moulding center and thought this would be a good opportunity
to try my idea out. Basically, I made a hub that mounts to the underside of
the rotary table.
                  >

                  > This hub allows me to bolt custom index plates to the
bottom of the rotary table. This is completely out of the way of wood chips.
A spring loaded mechanism is used to lock the rotary table from turning. A
knob in the front of the machine is used to release the lock. When I don't
need the indexing capabilities, the knob locks the pin out of the way allowing
the rotary table to function as normal.
                  >

                  > It's really easy and fast to use. Simply pull back on
the knob and rotate the crank. The pin falls into the next notch. This system
should be easily adapted to Legacy's rotary table. That will be my next step
in this little adventure.
