thanks tim,will do......and bill,my concerns are not in the lead screw 
drooping or bending when in use, but in the lead screw "rotating" or 
turning a number of degrees before the carriage begins to move...the lead 
screw on my machine has excellent support both vertically and 
horizontally...a total of five, the two ends and three swing-away supports 
we made...so there is no more than 48" between supports,which seems to be 
fine...so no worries there...thanks guys...joe
