I totally understand your concern about lead screw twisting but I really don’t think it will be an issue unless your carriage is too stiff to move which it should not be. The legacy saddle properly fitted moves quite easily and smoothly.
What I was wondering is sag in your long job you want to do, what sort of steady and how many will you use over a long length.
