I thought of putting some pem inserts into the rotary table so you could do 
what you are saying.  I just never got around to either needing to making it 
happen.

Another thought I will pass on that low profile clamps will work better than 
many of the larger knobs sold by rockler.  At least be careful when cutting.  I 
have posted on sever low profile clamps in this group.

I forgot where you landed in Oregon, care to remind me.
