Bill try the lamp oil idea? Liquid paraffin, is wax,It will not dry out, or
pick up water, It last for Years in lamps with out any problems. it also makes
the Legacy slide very easily, it will also make sure that the lead screw on
other steel parts on the Legacy will not rust.  Perhaps you could find a binder
that makes the Paraffin dry quicker, and perhaps make it  last a longer/ ware
factor???
On The Wood Chuck paraffin wax (caning wax) is the only lube. that you need,
Sadly it dose not work as well on the Legacy,  (for a side line that I have not
thought of, On my Shop-Smith, I use paste floor wax (Johnston & Johnston) ( I
have never thought of trying it on the Legacy's rails...) It might work there
too?
Dyna-Glide is a wax based product when I tried lamp oil for the first time, I
figured what do I have to loose?  spray on, and then wipe off in a min. or two.
(the alcohol or dryer makes it dry faster.)
By the way, Sure Shot has Dyna-Glide in it.  I too have used it in the past,
Works, I cant say which is better?  Who know's perhaps mixing the two, Might
give you a combination that you are looking for.   Weirder things have
happened? ;-)
Have a GREAT DAY.
C.A.G.
P.S.   Happy 4th of July to everyone! ;-)

I would imagine most aerosol dry lube brandswould work, dyna glide does not
exist in my country I’ve used a locktite one it works ok and a gun cleaning
product called oneshot  so I would just go lookingin hardware shops the reason
for a dry lube is so the sawdust doesn’t stick toit and clog up the mill..
