Yes, Curtis,

We want to know more.  Will you post either a sketch of what you did (how the pieces went together and how you made them stay together) or some photos showing the pieces in the various steps/stages of being machined and assembled?

Thanks.
Mac

Hello again everyone.
On the nut inserts that I used for my support bracket cost $11.00 for 50 on Amazon. I made my own tool for flaring them.  I used washers and flattened them down with a grinder.
Anyone want to know more, Please ask.

Hello Mac.
Tim had it made, I do not know any info. on how or who he had make these. only it was a present form him to me. (one that I am great-full for. I've spent many hour looking for this type of tape.)  You did note. it said Ornamental mills.com, Not Legacy.   Tim can be sneaky that way! ;-)

Curtis,

Yes - I noticed the "OrnamentalMills.com" etched onto the measuring "tape" you applied to the side of the rail.
I'm confident they are available - we just need to figure out where.
Did you call Legacy - and ask them if they still source them?

Have a Blessed week!
Mac

The Ornamental mills tape, will be my pride and joy accessory . (I will use it every-time I use my mill.)  ;-)

Hello Everyone.
First off I would like to Thank Tim Krause for the new center rule tape that he sent me.

Today's project is are 4 support brackets for my Legacy. I am not sure if this was needed,(or if anyone else will need anything like this but Its my attempt to get rid of the play in the Legacy rails.) My theory is the support rails that Legacy made were made out of thin metal, bent and mounted onto the Extruded alum. rail. to hold everything together, since my new Z axis adds a lot of weight, I made these bracket to off set the weight and keep stability to my unit.
I said this is a theory and has not been tested yet.  But some of the process might interest some of you.
I made some "T" nuts of sorts, for the mounting of the new brackets to the Extruded alum. rail.

I also made a new wooden handle for my Carriage, and a wooden stop for the linear rail.
Please let me know what you think on any and or all of these ideas?

C.A.G.
