I have only used rocklers one you can mount the work and the base on the rotary table and let the router rest against a rail as the table rotates but it sort of doesn’t gain you much accept the routers lead doesn’t get in the way as it does when you rotate it instead of the work maybe I will play with it again on the mill someday

One does not "need" a LOM to do such, but it would be a lot easier on one. And the minimum size would be much much smaller.
