Thank you Tim.
One more note on this line of thought.
The ART is more then what is just popular today. When I started wood turning,
spindles were all anyone did. Today most WOOD lathe turners only do, Pen or
bowls, and spindles have been all but forgotten.
The very same thing has happened in the OT world.  Rose Engine lathes are the
King. but the Original Holzapfel lathe's (which is a closer cousin to the
Legacy and the modern Steel lathe.)  is all but
forgotten.http://www.lathes.co.uk/holtzapffel/ .
The reason I state this, is for two reasons,  First is for Learning, If you
want to compare the OT world to the OM world, You need to think of the concept
.Apples to Apples. And secondly.  The Legacy may not be the KING, but it is one
Awesome tool, that is way more Royal then the ordinary wood lathe and other
wood working tools that are normally sold and used today in most wood shops. ;-)
Have a great day everyone.talk to you all more latter.

 Hello Tim.  (and everyone.)
I have used the Nova O.T. in the past.  It was a Neat jig.
https://teknatool.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/19000076497-nova-ornamental-turner
But sadly it is no longer made.
When I bought my Legacy, I quickly saw The potential that was there. I have
spent a lot of time trying to make the most with my Legacy.
The Ornamental turning world is for the most part a fantasy, "True" Craftsmen
and Artists of the 1700 & 1800's, making things , that were so highly skilled
that, Other masters even 300 yrs latter, have a hard time trying to figure out
how it was done.   Today we are very lucky that there are people out there who
are dedicated enough to learn and share there knowledge with others. The Legacy
Ornamental mill, is not a true OT machine, but it dose share at least in a
small part, SOME of this very rich history, the quest for knowledge.  For me,
the Legacy (LOM) And this group, have helped me become more, then what I though
possible just some year ago.Thank you everyone.

Yes that is the modern rose

They have been around almost as long as Legacy.
There are a number of company's who make DIY OT stuff, Like the  Medium Density
Fiberboard  (MDF Rose) made by Jon McGill.https://mdfre2.colvintools.com/
Rambling Rose. http://ornamentalroseengine.com/download/rre/index.htm

And the https://lindowmachineworks.com/ Lindow White machine...and one of my
favorites (names, by Bill Ooms) the CORN Lathe.
https://www.billooms.com/cornlathe/index.html Its a CNC unit.
To name a few.
Legacy was in good knitch, It did much the same things as all these machines
but it was also a little differently then what most in the OT world made
things.
Thanks Bill for posting your screw and wing nut.  Things like your posting,
Just go to show/Remind everyone, That its the Artist who makes the art, not the
tool.

Has anyone seen or experienced this item?  I stumbled into it looking at how
to machine wood threads on the REVO and was amazed.

In short, it's a rose engine that bolts directly to a Jet 1014 standard lathe
and offers almost all the capabilities of the rose engine lathe of antiquity.
For those wearing hip boots and waders in this OM business, this seems like the
cat's meow.

I'm not deep into extensive ornamental turning as it is a very specialty item
that takes a lot of time, but for those with creative energy to burn, this
would be a fun specialty.
BTW, haven't found internal or external threading discussions yet....
