Hey Rick, Yeah I have that offer out there too and to my surprise no takers yet. I have cut gears that work perfectly on my Revo too. Kind Regards, Timothy J. I have been following this conversation quietly in the background (along with the gear calculations conversation). To be honest, even though I too have a scroll saw, I am not skilled enough / practiced enough on the Legacy to be up to building my own. However, I was intrigued by your work using acrylic gears. I wanted to let the group know that I have a laser engraver that will easily cut acrylic - and very, very precisely. If anyone has a graphics file or .pdf of the gear(s) you need, I would be happy to cut them out for you. The beauty is, once we have a good graphics file I could cut new gears in minutes. But I was successful in getting these plastic gears to run true enough to work on a slightly modified banjo system. I had to extend the slot on the driver side of the main banjo and cut the sides back on that channel so it would slide over the driver shaft, not stop against it. Very minor changes, which ultimately expand the banjo to its absolute maximum range. The right side of the banjo is also at it's maximum. It looks to be the correct ratio, too. I haven't made any cuts yet, so the proof is still in the pudding. I took a video so you could see it actually in motion. The scraping sound is the plastic gear rubbing against the idler screws, which I had to flatten. <45-66DuplexGear.JPG> DanK -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Legacy Ornamental Mills" group.
