I type (or paste) mine into the "Obituary" event's Notes area. > I have this nice person in my family who sends me tons of obituaries > (what a blessing!)of family members, many of whom I am unfamiliar. Create an "Unknown" source, > or create an "Obituary-on-File" source, then enter the obit in the > Source Details window? *Your* source is "this nice person in my family". So I would create a source for that person, "Type" would likely be "personal communication". What that person told you about this particular clipping would be in the "Details". Note: I would still record it this way even if the person told me the newspaper, its date, etc. as I would have no proof that that information was correct . . . and . . . that person is still *my* source for the data. If I later verify an actual copy or microfilm of the newspaper I'll then add the newspaper as a source with a repository of where *I* found it.
