The real problem is that the data (projects) is stored with the program! How
many times have users complained about the default situation of having data
folders stored in the program folder. At least in Legacy we can change it,
but not with PE. That is why there is a danger of losing data when you
uninstall the package.

Sorry, but I'm distinctly unimpressed. The package seems shoddily put
together and the free version is really only a "come-on" to buy the full
version.

I decided to uninstall the package and not only did I have to then remove
the folders left behind but also run CCleaner twice to remove all the
"dross" left behind.

Hi Ron,
That sounds like a good idea. I suspect the original reason for not doing
this was a bit of paranoia that some users could get mixed up and delete it
without thinking it through. But if the explanation is good enough we would
hope that wouldn't happen, right? An option to back up the projects first,
like you said, should make it safe enough.
I'll pass this idea on.
Thank you for your comments.
Jon

Jon,

Why could you not add a step whereby either the user is given a choice
whether or not to delete all folders associated with Passage Express or at
the very least an option to backup all folders befroe a complete and proper
uninstall is performed.
