I was aware of what you are saying but to format a page of tables with borders etc in the notes, as would be required to meet the OP's requirements, would, I think, be likely to cause problems and as we agree will not format correctly on anything other than a web page.

If you are building web pages, you can use html code in any notes field as long as you replace the < and > with « and ». The text will be a mess in your printed reports, of course. Until Legacy enhances the format options, any work around will be hit or miss, dependent of type face, font size, resolution, etc. -- what looks great on your machine may look like a jumble on mine.

I haven't tried it so I don't know; however, as the Notes are basically for text files I would imagine one would lose the formating, assuming it can be coded in the first place. I can see all sorts of problems arising and I do not think I will be trying this.

Hi,

You can cut and paste data with tabs into Legacy Notes and the tabs remain.
If you are typing in any Legacy notes you need to use CTRL+Tab to
enter a tab space.

If you have the data in a table, you need to change it to text with
tabs separating the columns in order to include it in notes and be
able to print it in Legacy reports.

You may need to add more tabs to get it to line up. I've found that
sometimes I need to add some spaces as well, especially if there is a
big difference in the length of the information in one "column".
However it works pretty well - though not perfectly - provided you're
not using too many different fonts.

As Ron says, you can attach as an attachment - but then the
information doesn't print in a report.

Cathy
