Hi Kirstin,
If you want to do a full backup of settings you have saved, you need to save
1) the .usr files from the Legacy Program folder (Default is
C:\Legacy - if you installed elsewhere you'll know)
2) any Colour Schemes you have created AND saved. These should be in
the ColorSchemes folder in the Legacy program folder. They have a
.lcs extension.
3) any Report Settings you've saved. These will be wherever you saved them :-(
They have extensions like:
.rf* - for Book Reports; .
.rs* etc - for Charts/Family Group Sheets
.wf* - for Legacy Web page settings
where * is a number
Also not currently included in the backup are:
Books you may be in the process of creating; IGI search results;
Research Guidance results; Geo location custom files.
All of these represent time spent and although they can be recreated
so they're not a devastating loss like losing unbacked up data, most
of us could spend the time better.
Now to go and automate a regular update of these files with Karen's
Replicator - I've been meaning to set this up on this computer for some time.
