Hi Sherry:

I believe my problem started when I tried to "click and drag" my files to a CD, for back up. I haven't been able to open the files since.

Here is what I am getting:

When I click on the "Cleveland Family"
short cut on my desk top, I get an error message which reads:

"Error Opening Database"
          Unrecognized database format.
C\Documents and settings\Wilbur Cleveland\locale settings\application data\Microsoft CD Burning\Cleveland Family .fdb.

When I click on the Legacy Icon on my desktop, I get a Windown with a heading Open Family File at the top. Drop down box has "Desktop", in the Window are the files on my desktop. At the bottom, the top drop down box ask for "file name". The second drop down box has "legacy (."fdb) in it.

My Daughter set up the 5.0 program originally on my hard drive. Now, it is
asking for a user name and password to open. Can you check and see if she
put a password in when the program was first installed?

Does the "free" use of 5.0 expire after so Long? I tried to update to 6.0
and now my program guide in the Control Panel shows I have both 5.0 and 6.0.

Can you help me, before I slash both wrist?
