Sherry,
Just a thought, but is it possible that this is a Windows problem rather
than Legacy's. I have recently found this happening with other programs and
am beginning to wonder if it's connected with a Windows Update.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Legacy is freezing
My computer screen typically has Legacy open at any given time. Several
members of my household each use it pretty much daily. I recently
downloaded version 6.0.0.110 deluxe. Since that download, Legacy freezes.
It's fine when first opened and used off and on for several hours, but if
it
sits idle for, oh, 6-8 hours, then when we click on the button on the
taskbar to bring up Legacy nothing happens.
* We do control-alt-delete, which states that the program is not
responding.
* We select to end task.
* Then we go to start and click on the Legacy icon. The program
starts again with no trouble.
Also, Our latest database, started just last week, does not show up when we
click on "file", but is on the list for "open family file". All data seems
to be there for the various files. I suspect that this may be related to
the freezing problem, since we probably have not properly exited the
program.
I have run "file maintenance" several times, but that doesn't change
anything.
Other info:
plenty of memory
computer is about 2 years old
windows XP, home editition, version 2002
