Pamela, That should obviously not happen, but I will ask the basic question
- how are you trying to open the Gedcom?

Hi
This is probably a stupid question with a simple answer but I cannot work
it
out. When I am sent a Gedcom and try to open it Legacy goes straight into
update mode and updates the system but will not let me open the Gedcom. I
feel very ignorant but can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong as it means
I cannot open Gedcoms that are sent to me via email.
I have been a lurker appreciating all the advice on the list.
