I tried map my family tree but could not get it to map more than a couple of
places of origin, so I uninstalled it.
I manually entered my places in Google maps, and it put placemarkers for me.
I just got the Legacy version, but since I've now got my most important maps
done I've no real reason to use it - particularly if you can't specify which
events you want it to plot. The publicity for the program said you could.
