Ahh, here comes my two cents and a question. I use LDS data knowing full well that it is the result of many inputs from many persons. I also use www.donnorman.com family files the same way, knowing it too comes from many sources and I am hoping to learn the best way to enter these two iffy sources. I say iffy but they both have given me some very good information and leads. Does any one know if there is a way to correctly state these two sources so that any reader other than myself knows that I consider it to be "IFFY"? Maybe a quote from EVIDENCE??
What a glorious world God Almighty has given us. How thankless and ungrateful we are, and how we labor to mar His gifts." ~ Gen. Robert E. It gives me some data but not the source of the data! It does give me the names & snail-mail addresses of the people who submitted the info but not the date of the submission or the sources of their information. Everyone knows that the validity of the source is of highest importance in establishing the validity of the data so I don't understand why a website related to the LDS doesn't show the sources of the info -- since the LDS is so-o-o involved in genealogy and has done so much work in preserving copies of original records. How do you handle this kind of thing? Thanks!
