Legacy can handle all blood relationships including step without a problem. I wish everyone would please remember that genealogy and family history are two very different things. A scholarly genealogy is literally a list of "begats." The "begats" with which most of us are familiar occur in the Bible. It is the family in black and white. A family history on the other hand takes the black and white family genealogy and colorizes it with stories- It is not a case of either/or. One can have both and I believe it's wise to keep the two separate. I love Legacy and no matter what they do I'm not changing. I began with it several years ago-switched to FTM after my system crashed and genealogy.com sent me free software and have recently come back to legacy. FWI my thoughts- Alice ----- Original Message ----- From: TH To: LegacyUserGroup@legacyfamilytree.com Sent: Friday, September 07, 2007 10:05 PM Subject: Re: Legacy: Family History or Genealogy? - was Re: [LegacyUG] Homosexual Entries
Based on what I have been reading here, am I correct in assuming that step-children, adopted children, and 2 or more marriages, etc. are things that Legacy can't handle?
