Jim,

I apologise that my mail seemed to have re-ignited the unfortunate series of
mails. It was not intended to do so.

I do have a considerable interest in the way the program is developed and where
the resources are spent - for instance (and I'm probably opening another can of
worms here) I'm not convinced that 'witnesses' need further development; for my
purposes the notes section seems admirably suited - as they are for many other
bits of 'non-gen' information I want/need to record.

I'm also well aware that Legacy currently is NOT a pure Genealogy Program; nor
would I wish it to be one since I use 'non-gen' facets myself. However I do
believe it's development resources should lean towards the 'gen' side in
developing the output.

I'm more than happy with the program as it is. I'd like some other things (who
wouldn't). What I don't want is a program with a significantly large number of,
to me, non-necessary bells and whistles with a consequent overhead in machine
load and cost.

I had hoped to stimulate a rational discussion over where we, as a user
community, thought development of Legacy should go (Geoff will make the final
decisions!), but obviously some folk are not rational.

Again, apologies.

Bill Anderson
