Thanks for the different views. My aunt was between partners when she fostered this child, so I've ended up with a new relationship just to add this cousin.
Carol - I think you are referring to witness events, at the moment Legacy doesn't support this. Check the archives there have been lots of threads about witnesses, and it seems that most people use the workaround of creating an event, copying it to the event clipboard and pasting it to the various individuals who are included in the source - such as census information.
