Allen,

I think the fact that each of us may have relatives of a different
race may be coming
to the fore front more and more. On 60 minutes tonight a segment was on DNA and
the two individuals that found each other as cousins were; a female
from Harlem, New York and a rancher from Poplar Bluff, Missouri. They
share a male grandfather,
some place along the way. She had used the DNA of one of her first cousins.

I would not be at all surprised to find I have cousins of another
race. All of my
roots are basically from the south. This would not bother me but I
have cousins it
might bother.

Thank goodness we do not have to enter race in our genealogy
information. Another interesting piece of information from that
segment was; if we go back 8 generations
we will have 256 grandparents.

What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but
trifles, to be sure; but, scattered along life's pathway, the good
they do is inconceivable.
