You can set up your subscription to auto pay by month and have it billed to a card or account. Then you just call to change your coverage or cancel. I'm not sure if it is cheaper to pay by the year or not. My original connection to ancestry.com membership was through my FTM... they can also give you the phone number [even if you are using Legacy now]! I started with FTM too and I love Legacy!!
