No, that person didn't have any parents entered, but neither did his spouse and she carried on to another sheet.

As you may or may not know, only places for birth and death dates are provided for people in the right-hand (5th generation) on a 5 generation pedigree page. When those people are carried forward to another page, in addition to birth and death dates, places are provided for marriage date and all places of birth marriage and death. Any information that hasben entered in the family file for these individuals is displayed on the page to which they have been carried forward.

I n my particular case, I have entered names and, in some cases, other information for the 8 of my son-in-law's great-great-grandparents.

In the hopes that it will provide a clue, here are the 8 people and what information other than name is in the family file and whether or not they carried forward to another page:

Person 1. No birth, marriage or death dates and places entered. This person carried forward to a succeeding page.

Person 2 (Spouse of person 1.) . No birth, marriage or death dates and places entered. This person did NOT carry forward to a succeeding page.

Person 3. Est. marriage date, death year and death location entered. This person did NOT carry forward to a succeeding page.

Person 4. (Spouse of person 3) Death date and place entered. This person did carry forward to a succeeding page.

Person 5. Birth place entered. Birth place entered. This person did carry forward to a succeeding page.

Person 6. (Spouse of person 5) Birth place entered. This person did NOT carry forward to a succeeding page.

Person 7. Birth place, Est. Death date and Death place entered. This person did NOT carry forward to a succeeding page.

Person 8. (Spouse of person 7) Birth place and Death place entered. This person did NOT carry forward to a succeeding page.

Wouldn't you agree that there are inconsistencies here? With regard to Heather's response, none of the people above have parents entered and yet some carry forward, some do not.

Tom

Did the person who didn't carry on as No. 1 individual on another
chart have any parents entered? If not, then he doesn't need another
chart.....

Today I entered the ancestors of my new son-in-law to my family file.. When I printed out a Pedigree Chart, I noticed that one of his great-grandfathers (who appears as the 5th generation on Page 1) for whom I had a death date and location did not carry forward as the No. 1 individual on a succeeding page. However, his spouse, for whom I also had a death date and location did
carry forward as the No. ! individual on a succeeding page.

I did a file maintenance but it didn't eliminate the problem. I can't be
certain that a similar problem doesn't exist with earlier data entered or
imported.
