If I think someone is related somehow but I can't quite prove it yet, I go ahead and take the time to add them as an unrelated individual and record all of the info I have on them right in Legacy. When I find that connection later on it is so easy to link them where they belong.

Subject: [LegacyUG] how to record unconnected families

Hello again list
I note that my last email has been answered before it has appeared on my list
Thank you to Dennis, Jenny, Richard, Susan and Wynthner.
Could I now ask...

I have lots of bits of paper about the ROSSITER family in general and I don't know whether the people are part of my family at this time, they may later prove to be part of it. Is there a general place to record such information. Such as a general notes file OR does one have to set up a file in some other program such as Windows My Docs
John
