It is very rare for me to print out a chart.  I quite often send someone
information on one part of my tree that affects them.  I do that as
Individual Report in PDF format.  I then will include a couple of charts to
show some of this information in visual form.  If there is a large blank
area in one part then I might as well show some extra information.

The children of a spouse by a previous spouse are of interest because they
are step children and so will appear in the censuses.  Showing the other
spouse in the best way to display them.

Some people are only interested in tracing their ancestry back to Adam and
Eve.  I like to see the whole picture and have often got very valuable
information from people connected to distant branches of my family as well
as being to help out others.
