I think Geoff's message said you could use the templates if you wish, or even create templates of your own. I would certainly consider the current way to enter sources in Legacy to be "template". Frankly, I hope it isn't changed too much, as I feel I'm finally getting a handle on being able to enter sources the way I feel will be most helpful to future researchers. I used Generations which had blanks for everything, but I didn't know how to use it properly, which is why I'm having to redo almost all my sources now.

There was an earlier email by Geoff that stated just the opposite i.e., you will be entering new sources via the templates, you will retain your existing sources in the old format and over time you will have the choice to update them to the new format. You may have to search the archive for this info.

That is not my understanding. Yes there will be new sourcing methods
available should you wish to use them (and from what I've heard I suspect I
might not), but that will not involve the necessity of having to amend
existing Sources.
