Hello Glen, Thank you for your welcome.
I have been clicking on all the different buttons/icons tosee what they do and I am very impressed with this program. I will try your suggestion about the mouse cursor on the Family tab, I was not aware of that. I thought I had posted my messages in plain text, my apologies if I did not. Colin in QLD where it is clear and sunny and promises to be 29c today. ----- Original Message ----- From: GBallard To: LegacyUserGroup@legacyfamilytree.com Sent: Monday, April 28, 2008 1:17 AM Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] New User of Legacy seeking advice Colin, Welcome. You might want to try clicking on areas in Legacy other than on the icons. For example, on the family tab, place your mouse cursor between the main couple on the screen and to the left or right of them. You will see that you can click and rotate through different people. Glen Ballard P.S. Don't forget to post your messages to the list in Plain text. ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Colin Liddell Sent: Sunday, April 27, 2008 4:58 AM To: LegacyUserGroup@legacyfamilytree.com Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] New User of Legacy seeking advice Ronald, thank you for your suggestions. I have had a look around the progam and clicked on most of the icons and I did have a quick look through the Help files when I was importing my gedcom file. I will have another look at the Help pages on the various screens too. As Jenny said, if I get stuck I can ask on the List.{;-) Colin Liddell ----- Original Message ----- From: ronald ferguson <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com Sent: Sunday, April 27, 2008 9:19 PM Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] New User of Legacy seeking advice Colin, Welcome. In my experience the best way of learning the program is to play with it. Click on everything (right and left) and you will rapidly find what can and cannot be done. The Help files are always up to date, more so than the User Guide, and are extremely comprehensive. You may also have noticed that the help page on the various screens are context helps for that particular screen.
