Hi Ron,
Any automatically generated Drop down descendant chart will produce a
long narrow strip.
Whether or not it can be reshaped depends on what happens to lines
when you rearrange.
I can rearrange a Tree Draw chart to produce a clear Rectangular
descendant chart but the last time I looked, the lines joining boxes
in Legacy Charting were still repositioning halfway between parents
and children. They need to stay a standard distance from the children
to make staggering families/branches feasible.
I haven't actually looked at Charting for awhile.
