I read your question a little differently than everyone else. I thought you
were talking about the "location" list, and NOT the "master source" list.
When entering an actual event, such as an obituary, the location is entered
from smallest to largest (town, county, state, country). In the actual
"location" list, you can choose to sort them anyway you wish. In the list, I
go from largest to smallest because, in my opinion, it keeps them in a
logical order.

how Geoff formats that there can never be a right or wrong way only
the way that makes most sense to the person inputting the records.
